Welcome to the Hood

Arme Clothing official website

"With logos and brand names plastered across many articles of clothing, fashion is a viable means of advertising. One clothing entrepreneur is using this medium to address a serious issue. Derrick Murray, the founder of Arme Clothing, created a line of t-shirts with large graphics of guns and the tagline “Welcome to the Hood” ... Underneath the ominous phrase are powerful messages such as “There are no gun factories on my block, there are no gun shops in my hood, so if my t-shirt shocks you then fix the problem because this is just a t-shirt. . .” While such may seem like a slap in the face, there’s no denying that it makes an impact."

Rbk signs Pharell
Ok, the wait is over regarding the Billionaire Boys Club brand. The clothing and shoes are coming out next summer. Here's the scoop:

Reebok Adds Another Hip-Hop Star To Rbk Label

"Hot on the heels of its athletic shoes bearing the mark of rappers Jay-Z and 50 Cent, Reebok is set to strengthen its hip-hop street credibility with the signing of producer Pharrell Williams to an apparel and footwear line deal.

Williams, one half of hip-hop production duo The Neptunes, has forged a long-time licensing partnership with the Massachusetts-based sportswear giant to produce a men’s and women’s footwear range called Ice Cream and a men’s apparel collection, Billionaire Boys Club.

According to Reebok, both lines will feature cool, cutting-edge looks reflective of William’s own unique style.

“Reebok’s licensing partnership with Pharrell will enable us to reach a new cross section of consumers,” Rbk division vice-president Todd Krinsky said.

“Pharrell’s collections will fuse skate, hip-hop and alternative rock global youth cultures to reach a broader audience across all musical genres.”

The Billionaire Boys Club and Ice Cream collections will be created with the help of streetwear designer Nigo [from Tokyo], best known for his A Bathing Ape apparel line."

There's is more:
"The initial launch of the collections next summer will be a limited distribution, available only in "select high-end boutiques and better department stores worldwide.".... Arnell Group in New York is Reebok's lead ad agency."
