Felix Da Housecat
Well, The Cisco Kid recently introduced me to this DJ, and he seems to be what I was looking for after (nearly) wearing out my DJ Assault album and throwing away Mixed Up In the Hague Vol. I at the New Years party. "A purrr-fect blend of 80s elecro decadance & underground grooves" - here's the 411 on Felix Da Housecat. Notable track: "Madame Hollywood"

Ahh... One of my favorites, MetaCritic.com provides a collection of Felix Da Housecat reviews

Weblog: Ignorance No More
People ask what my homepage is about. When I tell them its a bloG (or a Weblog) they're confused. "What?"

Dave Winer: "Weblogs are often-updated sites that point to articles elsewhere on the web, often with comments, and to on-site articles (source). A weblog is kind of a continual tour, with a human guide who you get to know. There are many guides to choose from, each develops an audience, and there's also comraderie and politics between the people who run weblogs, they point to each other, in all kinds of structures, graphs, loops, etc."

Evan Williams founded Blogger.com - the service that I am using (right now) - to articulate and publish my thoughts to an invisible audience. Evan's blog is called Evhead.

Morten Lund and Thomas Mygdal run one of the better known DK blogs. Both tend to have some good observations about the Internet, although Morten has a bit of trouble spelling "opportunity" :-)

I like this blog observation: "All of a sudden I'm addicted to writing top-of-mind topics in a short of semi-personal / public way and using it as a good way of relaxing / taking my mind of boring things and irrelevant thinking" (source)

Kool Keith coming to Copenhagen?
I suggested in the forum of Housemusik.dk that the community should try to co-operate and arrange for Kool Keith to come and play in Copenhagen this summer. My idea is to have a "fundraiser" party and use the collective mind of all the wise guys/girls to arrange a concert. Hey that's quite novel, isn't it?

Kenny "Dope" Gonzalez
A nice little history of the famous beatmaker. Read the taster below, courtesy of Tim Lawrence:

[1995] Nothing, though, was as big as 'The Bomb! (These Sounds Fall Into My Mind)', a Kenny Dope production that appeared under his Bucketheads alias and was released on Johnny 'D' DeMairo's Henry Street Music. "Since the beginning of MAW [Masters At Work, red.] we've both had separate recording careers and I wanted to do something raw, something that was fun," says Gonzalez. "One night I was driving from Manhattan to Brooklyn with Johnny 'D' and we were listening to all of these terrible records. I said, 'Fuck that! I'm going to make to make some music!'" Gonzalez went home, pulled out a series of classics and produced "a whole album in three days."
