The Smud Peddlers do Copenhagen!
Well, well, underground backpack favorites "The Hi & Mighty" featuring Cage & CopyWrite paid a visit to Loppen last nite. Needless to say the collective has back catalogue of hits galore and they're well respected for all the material they've put out - either as a group or as soloartists - and sometimes on their own Eastern Conference label.

There's one thing, though, that I'd like to say about their performance: DJ Mighty Mi is a great producer and cratedigger, but I think he should step down as tour-DJ for the group. All the tracks were performed well and especially CopyWrite and Cage's rhymes were clearly and fiercely delivered to a fairly young and unimpressed crowd. It was great to see that the MCs were doing their best to impress the crowd.

The transitions between the tracks, however, were clearly the problem, along with the sound ("Too much treble!"). When there are so many good DJ out there, why use a DAT? When you have so many good songs (and great productions), why cut them abbressively off every 2 minutes? Let the audience soak into the beats...

Ok, I give my best to the High & Mighty crew, and look forward to see them prosper as they follow the few directions above. And one more thing, if you go to a concert and the sound quality is poor let the soundman know! (also if its good). Peace...
