New Standards for CD Protection?
My sources tell me that Eminem's upcoming "The Eminem Show" will set new standards for copyright protection. Apparently, the single "Without Me" is a distributed to a limited audience [sounds a bit puzzling] and the CD will have the type of copy protection that means that it cannot be played on a CD-ROM drive. Furthermore, reliable source [really!] HipHopSite writes:

"Though you won’t find the entire version of The Eminem Show available for download on the Net, what you will find is this---the beats and choruses for each track on the LP. So, not only is Em’s marketing squad actually furthering the buzz for the LP by purposely leaking this format, but they are also doing it by beating the Net heads at their own game---without losing sales!!"
